The point is that a gang came up in Nanka and started all sorts of atrocities that were never before in their history. The police were invited to make peace as the gang and community elders were at each others throat. So when the police team came to make peace, the gang said who are they to come to their community and tell them what to do and what not to do. That was how they striped the DPO of his rank, beat him up and those with him and did all they could to them.

However the police, mobile police and the Army have besieged the town and they are consequently picking the members of the gang up one by one. In fact at the market Square of the town, every vehicle slows down as there is a road block that the men in uniform said will last for a month. So if you are travelling with a public vehicle pass Nanka, get ready to come out of the vehicle and walk pass the Check Point with your hands raised up.

The market is now skeletal. However those that are doing their legitimate business are going about it peacefully. Nanka is therefore at peace.
