hello everyone.. i have a couple of questions that i feel i can get the best answers in here. i am finding it difficult to make an informed choice between a number of cars i intend to purchase with respect to maintaenance costs, fuel economy and all the necessary criteria anyone would look at before purchasing a used vehicle. i narrowed my search to the following cars: 1. lexus Rx 300 1999/2000 model 2. Honda Accord 2002 model 3. Honda Accord 2005 model 4. Toyota Camry 2003 model. The cars mentioned above are all nigerian used. I would want to know what are your takes on the cars listed above stating their pros and cons if you can. i would also welcome any advice given towards buying a used car (things to look at for). Thanks for your expected comments. |

megatran: depends on what you want, toyota/lexus are rugged and take abuse. if i were in your shoes and money isnt an option i will pick them according to this Lexus Rx300 V6 engine, most luxurious among the lot, good ground clearance for bad road, has 2WD and 4WD (with VSC), parts are abundant but pricy, will stand the test of time. Accord 2005 EOD, very compact and refined, beautiful interior and all the issues in the 2003 and 2004 model year improved on. more appealing is the EX-L trim with leather and optional navigation screen, but the ball joint syndrome affects it so do your checks well before you pay for it. Camry 2003 AKA big daddy, nice caring rugged, parts availability but extremely boring interior even the XLE trim and guess whats, its a Robbers magnet in Nigeria, so after buying, just pay for comprehensive insurance, buy tracker, buy motion alarm sensor and pay for Police escort for protection or hire the italian mafias and pay for protection  last but not the least 2002 Accord aka baby boy. well the car just dey like dede, this one too him ball joint dey dance shoki, but extremely cheap car, with parts equally cheap, i love the special edition variant but extremely scarse. 3 Likes |
