IMO DEPUTY GOVERNOR MAKES CASE FOR IDPS, CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY WITH SPECIAL CHILDREN

Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has called on Nigerians to compliment the efforts of the governments at various levels towards ameliorating the sufferings of the Internally Displaced persons in various parts of the country.

Prince Madumere made this call on Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Red Cross Orphanage Home, Owerri, Imo State while celebrating his 52nd Birthday with the orphans, describing them as Special children.

He averred that ‘special children’ who are found in various homes and other public social homes are not there on choice but victims of circumstances they have no control over.

Thanking God for His mercies, grace and protection on his 52nd birthday, he called on Nigerians to take the idea of donating to the less privileged and those going through rough times due to either hostilities occasioned by war, insurgency, or by social deviants who cannot take responsibilities for their actions.

He, therefore, urge Nigerians to make periodic visits motherless babies home or refugee camp for the displaced persons to help save them from untold hardship by contributing in one way or the other.

Prince Madumere while commending the effort of the Federal government for here effort in containing the menace of insurgency and acts of terrorism in the North, he said the condition of the victims is unbearable and therefore called for complimenting effort from Nigerians to help put smiles on the faces of the victims.

In the same vein, Madumere disclosed that there is self-fulfillment in investing to secure others lives and future. He gave a personal testimony of how God has seen him through because of his covenant to always reach out to the have-nots one especially in periods of difficulty. He revealed that he learnt to give from Governor Okorocha and since then, God has always seen him through whenever he is confronted by life challenges.

Responding for the Children, the Vice Chairman of Red Cross Imo State, Mr. Keke showered encomium on Imo Deputy Governor for keeping faith with the special children for over twelve years since his decision for follow this part of nobility. He prayed God to continue to bless and prosper him in all his endeavours.

High points of the event was the Cutting of the Cake by Prince Madumere with the children, feeding, sharing drinks with them, which climaxed into dancing galore.
