A man has a lion,a goat and grass...he has to pass through the river with one boat, but...? the boat can only carry 2 things at a time so its either the man and the lion or goat or grass, he has to come back for the other 2 and carry them one after the other...if he takes the lion, the goat will eat the grass and that is not good, if he takes the grass, the lion will eat the goat and that is also not good...how is the man supposed to take all three of them. 1 Like |

[color=#006600][/color] first trip to the other side: man + goat second trip: man + lion (when getting to the other side man loads goat again and goes back with the goat) third trip: man drops off goat and takes grass ... then goes back) fourth trip: drops off grass where the lion already is fifth trip: goes back and picks up goat for the second time sixth trip and last trip: goes back with the goat to where the lion and the grass already are... the end. ... how exhausting for the poor man.... but the animals and the grass still exist 1 Like |

he'll take the goat across 1st, come back and take the lion across too, when he gets there he will bring back the goat, next he will take the grass to the other side leave it with the lion and finally come back alone to pick up the goat. |

emelisande:Man + Lion Man + Goat Man + Grass The steps; 1 The man will first go with the goat in the Canoe, leave the goat at the other side of the river and come back alone in the Canoe. 2 The man will go with the lion in the canoe, leave the lion at the other side of the river and come back with the goat. 3 The man will go with the grass in the canoe, drop the grass at the end of the river with the lion and come back alone. 4 The man will finally go with the goat in the canoe. |
