Before the 2015/16 Premier League season, was a time when Chelsea signing a player from Leicester City wouldn’t have raised a few eyebrows. In fact, there would have been qualms with the fact been that the Blues stooped so low to acquire a transfer target from the club.

But the acquisition of N’Golo Kante from the defending Premier League Champions has many people excited and talking for on a different reason, as the Frenchman has recently decided to swap Champions League football for a season with Chelsea (who ended last season in the 10th position).

Most football fans would argue that he made the move for the money (I mean what’s the next best thing after Champions League football?). But don’t be fooled, that Kante has made this 130-mile journey down to the London club just for the money (well, the money factor is still involved). This move is believed to be based on footballing prowess more than anything else.
