Militants vow to declare Niger Delta Republic on August 1
14:38 18/07/2016
Port Harcourt - A militant group in the Niger Delta, Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA) has said it had concluded arrangements with other militant groups to declare the Niger Delta region an independent republic on August 1.

The militant group also gave the Federal Government an ultimatum to withdraw its personnel and establishment from the region before the date of its declaration of independence.

It also ordered all northerners and people of the South West to vacate its territory.

ABA in a statement issued on Sunday by General Edmos Ayayeibo, its spokesperson, mandated the Federal Government to use the three weeks’ notice to “move out all military personnel and all government agencies out of the Niger Delta,” and warned that “failure will lead to destruction of military barracks and personnel.”

“We, the Adaka Boro Avengers and all the freedom fighters in the Niger Delta region have met and come to a conclusion that we are declaring the Niger Delta Republic three weeks from today July 18, 2016.

“So we are by this notice calling on the Nigerian government to move out all military personnel and all government agencies out of the Niger Delta. Failure will lead to destruction of military barracks and personnel.
We are, also, by this notice calling on our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters living in the northern parts of Nigeria to return home immediately.

“We are also warning northerners and westerners to leave the Niger Delta region immediately within three weeks from now, for their own good.

“If they refuse to heed to our warning, we will use so many as example in the Niger Delta region on the due date.

“We are telling the Nigerian government that enough is enough and we are taking our independence by force. We have our foreign backers, so we are not afraid of the Nigerian government but ready for total war.

“The inhuman treatment given to us by Nigerian government is enough. We can no longer withstand the suffering of our Niger Delta people. They should not take us for fools.

Nobody is taking all these ND militants serious again! Since they failed to bomb 3MLB

We are, also, by this notice calling on our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters living in the northern parts of Nigeria to return home immediately.

Funny! Boko haram the most sophisticated terrorist group in Africa gave similar threat and ultimatum How many Igbos and SSners vacate North? Non cheesy

We are also warning northerners and westerners to leave the Niger Delta region immediately within three weeks from now, for their own good.

Why is the federal government slowing down their bombardment of this touts? By now the Tanks, warships and bomber jets should have been deployed in full force to the entire Niger delta cos it seems the Indigenes are sympathetic to the scAvengers. Bombing of our oil facilities alone is a treasonable act that must be considered an act of war against Nigeria and here they are threatening to declare Niger Delta Republic. Many states cannot pay salaries and people are dying of hunger because of the actions of these few vagabonds crippling our God given oil wealth. The federal government should not negotiate with them but instead warn innocent people who cares to listen to vacate the region so full military might can be deployed to wipe out the terrorists with brutal force. Anyone caught in the inferno will be considered a collateral damage cos this nonsense has to stop.

The oil is our collective wealth and no group of people can hold us to ransom. We once fed the whole country with cocoa and groundnut pyramid money and no youth from those regions formed militancy. I can smell the hands of the Biafrans in these renewed militancy and they think this approach will blackmail the FG into releasing Nnamdi kanu or restoring the dead and buried biafra of 1970. We will resist any attempt by any groups to break away and we shall never support any form of referendum. A word is enough for the wise. Do anyhow, see anyhow angry

Declare Niger Delta Region or Niger Delta Republic?
I support self determination but declaring Republic inside Republic is a call for war, I am totally against it.
They should follow the due process.
Thanks.

Please there was never a time cocoa money from the west or groundnut money from the North was used to feed the South south States. The south south has never been parasitic but has always have enough to eat and even give to other regions.

God bless lord Luggard for that bold move to unify the south and North. Now it's obvious the Igbo's are going no where. Britain will always support Nigeria. It's a win win for us just like 1970 grin

Dude, if you're indeed sincere and believe your writeups you and your folks wouldn't be running helter-skelter to attempt to quench the raging tsunamic movement of self-determination.

Deep down in your heart you know the game of deceit is up.

We aren't born to continue to be together. Take heart and brace up for your future in OduaArewanistan.
