I guess his female children and grand children are with his wives. That should be the only reasonable explanation to this.

Of course he has daughters and grand daughters. This should tell you its a male only photo. Looks like during Sallah when only males group and go to the mosque.
Capturing the whole family at once would be like getting a village group photo.
It's common to see this kind extra large families in the north because they are mostly polygamous and bear an average of 8 kids. For example personally I don't know the total number of my cousins not to talk of nephews and nieces.

A typical northern muslim believes that a woman being seen in public is haram.So also is public display of her picture,etc.If they step out of d house,it is either in groups with other females or with a male relative as escort.
If U doubt me,when next U see an alhaji, ask him "how is your wife" and watch his reaction.
