Hello fellow Nairalanders, we, Pg students of some departments in the above named university and faculty are through this medium soliciting ur support to join us in the wail of our dissatisfaction in the manner with which the Pg program is run.

Firstly, as we all know, M.Sc programs last for an average of 1-2years in all Nigerian Universities, but in our case the program averages 3-5years for M.Sc and 2-3years for PGD, making us graduating most times alongside with our undergraduate contemporaries.

Secondly, the issue of lecturers struggling for students to teach and supervise when they have no time attending to such students so that they could get promotion from teaching and supervising such students at the expense of the students duration of the program.

Thirdly, when finally u have spent the 3 or 5 years for the PGD or M.Sc respectively, u are asked to pay a sum of 100k for external defence for M.Sc, the department tells u to do so, that the money would be refunded back to u when the university approves the sum, but it has never been refunded back to such students.

Fourthly, other miscellaneous activities from lecturers such as uncaring attitude, unnecessary delay, lengthy diplomacy, unwarranted stress amounts to total demoralization in student's life which ultimately kills interest and increase confusion in the program.

Finally, if a survey of this complain could be carried out exclusively by the university between the students and Dean of Pg school more complain would be revealed, We ar crying to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Zana Akpagu to come to our aid, pls fellow nairanders, promote this thread, this is the only hope for the average student.
