she is good. While it is too early to judge Kemi Amosun, it is not for the ineffectual buffon GEJ who had 5 solid years to make an impact and fight corruption despite record high oil prices. We don't need a neo-liberal, capitalist magazine to tell us that

I hope you realise zbuhari has spent ov

Lolz .
You think it's that easy bro!!!
Our economy has been battered over the years
It will take a little while before it can be stable.
All the KPI shows we are moving in the right direction
What you need to do is to fasten your sit belt and enjoy the ride

i know its not easy.

shouldnt we be seeing signs of improvement after one year? but things are rather getting worse off.

shouldnt it be better than it was in 2015 by now?

unless you are trying to have me believe they have to destroy the economy completely to have it rebuilt.

Tenacity is not equivalent to competency. U can be tenacious and still be a dullard. I dont see how this article imply that the finance minister is doing well.

she only needs to be a good finance minister to fix the economy.

i hope this answers your wry question

You gave a very vague answer. our expenditure is higher than our income, our main source of income is crude oil. Not only has prices plummeted, avengers have reduced production and yet fg can still pay salaries, loan state govts money as well. A finance minister cannot do more than what she is doing at moment and her such give her kudos. No abracadabra in accounting 1 is 1

Quite correct.
Okonjo had a lot of ideas but she couldn't implement them: it is hard to perform under a clueless and corrupt president.

Kemi, on the other hand, is walking the talk. Again one might attribute that to the more fruitful atmosphere provided by President Buhari.

Impressive performance so far, under the circumstances.

Well educated and sincere people know that there can't be a worse time to be a Nigerian president or a Minister of Finance than this period we are in. The current team has been busy clearing the mess created by the IB and his forty thieves and the team is not doing badly.

If we have no any other reason to believe we were lucky to have IB and NOI kicked out, we should always remember that they were already borrowing to pay salaries of FG workers in March/April 2015 before their exit. Despite that very gloomy picture, the current team has managed to stay afloat, bail out states that were not paying salaries long before this administration, managed to increase IGR, completed an abandoned rail project, and many more.

The economic hardship Nigeria is passing through is not peculiar to her. It's the same thing being experienced in all oil-dependent economies of the world. A simple search on Google will educate the doubters. Qatar, Saudi, UAE, Kuwait and a host of others have had to take many painful decisions to balance their books. Yet there is still bleak future there and those are countries that spent their oil windfall well. How much more us that wasted ours!

your own response is not definite rather.

why did the prices plummet?

when did the avengers start their attacks and when did we start having the economy this bad?

I hope we dont continue to have these excuses till d end to term.

This article by the economist is a lesson to people who are under attack for no just reason. Just stay focus, don't be distracted and remain dedicated to whatever you are doing. When the result start flowing in, your worst enemy will turn around and acknowledge your competence.

to lead the nation, you must turn your back on the wailers
