It's a good thing.Talking about interference with other radio stations,in a short while their transmitter power will be reduced from covering an entire state to 1 or 2 cities in a state. Meanwhile am considering setting up a low power community radio from locally sourced material.

Competition is good....... ... There's one in my city that use better part of the day to run commercials until another one came and pushed them to the background with their youths friendly programme and good music. The former has woken up to their responsibilities now.

Please mention the state... Nothing to loose

Read somewhere, sometime, that there were about 695 commercial radio stations in Canada.
I think an effective supervisory board is more key here.
Content is everything. Almost.

My brother,I stay ibadan jus for 2weeks,e get one station wey be beat fm,or na 97.9 the beats.
I get so irritated listening to them cause na so so locally acquired phonetics be the order of the day.
Everyone dey speak phonetics.
It's disgusting.
Im sure most radio hosts are very ugly and extremely low lifes cause I no sabi how a dirty ass brown roof state radio vjs or ish go dey speak in some fake ass phonetics.
Useless radio stations worldwide.all playing trap music upandan.

We must learn to speak in our nigeria accent.
Useless fake ass phonetics everywhere.
For lagos, everyone dey speak locally acquired phonetics.
Watay shame.

There is one Radio station I am still missing, and that is Cosmo Fm in Enugu. That station is out of the earth. Cosmo, cosmo f.m. Zowe worked there. I don't know where she is now. Her voice can arouse any man in that midnight show.

Nigerian are copy cat. If u start a business in ur neighbourhood today and it is a new one, people look at u with corner eye to see if it will fall; but if peradventure it progress rapidly and u build a house, buy a car, then u will wake up one day and realise that d whole street is now ur line of business. D advantage is that it create jobs and d disadvantage is that they will look for ways to outsmart each other thereby involving in unethical broadcasting.

You are a businessman. You nailed it.

Nigerians are funny people.

I just wanted increasing my office space. The next office which is vacant but was paid for by someone for one year and has never been put to use. I wanted paying for it since its been empty for like 10 months. The tenant caught wind of my moves and same weekend started dressing it for use. I relaxed.

Now the place is still locked up.

Increased dispersion of info.. Definitely has more good to it than bad.

Besides, outside lagos, ion see other states having enough radio stations. After tuning I usually just switch to to mp3 or aux

Their numbers is still small. We need specialised radio/TV stations. More of Brilla (sports), IBR Ibadan (business) among others.
What we need is improved ethical regulation and content.

In less than 5months i move d production frm 4bags to 13bags and d fortune of d place was turn around and we bought another bus. My dear that was it, i woke up one day to realise that two other bakery was established near by but we have operated there for abt 11months before i step in.

Thou i have not been to overseas before but one thing i knw is that those people have standard that even if d owner is a president, you can't use d station wrongly. But definitely not in Nigeria where everything is abuse.
