Governor Ambode’s Lieutenants Should Uphold The Governor’s Promise To Olufemi by Itesiwajueko16: 7:14pm On Jul 28, 2016
Globally the welfare of every child is of paramount importance to any progressive government. This is why even the campaign speech of Michelle Obama, the First Lady of the United States of America in support of Hillary Clinton as the next President was ascribed to be the best of all time because it was anchored on the welfare of the American Child. In view of the aforementioned it becomes very embarrassing if after thirty days since the compassionate Governor, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode made a promise to Olufemi Olasehinde winner of the 2016 spelling bee contest and amongst several gifts was decorated as the One day Governor of Lagos State, his aides or the office responsible for implementation is yet to do anything in regards to accomplishing the promise of his Excellency.
While receiving the award from the governor a conversation ensued between them. The Governor inquired from the boy on why 16years old Olufemi’s father was not present to witness how his son was making him proud. The boy obviously not happy that his father couldn’t make it, responded that as much as his father could have wanted to be physically present his state of health had denied him of the opportunity because he was bedridden by a terminal sickness. On hearing the sad story, the governor made a reassuring promise that the state government will take up the medical care of his father.

The governor’s aides should please note that making a promise to a young child should not be treated as a political propaganda statement but an act of integrity and that the Governor is concerned about the tomorrow of the children under his constituency. #rightthinking, #Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko lo je wa logun
