ABUJA – In a bid to strengthen the economy, President Buhari’s Economic Management Team met with top economists and financial experts in Abuja on Tuesday in its consultations towards tackling the country’s economic recession.

The team also reached out to the former finance minister, on how she managed the economy at her time. Some delegate of the finance ministry was in the United States to seek her Adsive.

Most people out of tribal inferiority complex get into personalities instead of issues. NOI worked with OBJ even more than Jonathan so for almost 16 years she was in charge of the economy. What is the issue with consulting her? Was Augusto not consulted, was Sanusi not consulted?

In any case, Okonjo, or anybody does not have any magic key to the economy. She in fact caused our problems. Only an idiot will deceive himself that the current problem will not last 2 more years. It is usually 7 years to get out of recession for developed countries and 3 and a half for developing countries. Nigeria has a structural problem that has caused short term cash flow. Borrowing is temporarily difficult because there is a larger economic slump overseas. Only the US is marginally better and they have issues too.
Hardwork, discipline, endurance and innovation in technology are the things that will save us.
