The high death tolls among Nigeria soldiers is getting alarming . For 11 soldiers to died in an internal gang war is unheard such high single death is only possible in an external aggression.

Yes there is high death toll amongst soldiers. It actually has nothing to do with nepotism.
Whoever uses that word has another axe to grind.
The main cause of the high death toll is poor regimental behaviour caused by poor training, doctrine and lack of adherence to Procedures (TTTPS ) at the platoon level. This is the main issue with internal border COIN. All the guys see everyday foe weeks are civilians. They then drop their guards and get careless at checkpoints or entering into small villages and hamlets.

The solution is enforcement of compliance using strong RSMs, conducting frequent inspections by officers and using court martial procedures to discipline slackers.
