My list

Prose
Eze goes to school (Chai! I chop cane wella for this book matter for JSS 1, Edogram. lol)
Chike and the river
Nuga the schoolmaster
Pot of life (aka Aimiuwu)
Shattered dreams
Zandi and the magic pillow
Sugar girl
The weeping undergraduate
College days of John Ojo
Stories from an African village (personal. Tanigororo and Banigororo)
Things fall apart
No longer at ease
The concubine
The gods are not to blame
The lion and the jewel (I saw a play of this too at my school hall)
The drummer boy
Without a silver spoon
Shaka the Zulu
The black hermit (Ngugi wa Thiongo, Kenya)
Mine boy (Peter Abrahams, South Africa)

Poems
Mostly Gabriel Okara (I love 'moon in the bucket' and 'once upon a time')
Some J. P Clark (I love 'Ibadan')

A lot a can't remember right now. Most not very popular
I spent all my money on novels back then. But all of a sudden I lost ALL interest. I think the love I found lately for Science may have been the cause. I still lament it. Now I just read non-fiction.

I only ever got to read one fiction book since 2006 - 'Keeper of the Children' by William Hallahan - more than once. Plus one mills n boons romance novel I can't remember the name of right now.

Btw, if anyone knows where one can download African novels, please do share. I have a 10 year old niece on my neck. I just can't meet her demand for novels.
