I have no knowledge of the said app.

I blurred the names of those involved in this issue deliberately, for their own safety. This man is known to use the DSS to threaten people.

In fact, one of the ex-staff named Uduak who was being cooperative with me in this issue was arrested by the DSS last year and taken for questioning by the man. The man's family is wealthy and influential. He even has lawyers and political allies. Anything can happen to those that show any intent to testify against him.

When the issue started last year, he openly boasted of throwing anyone who tries to "spoil his business of more than 10 years" into prison forever. Instead of contemplating how to pay or, at least, pacify those he has duped, he is more concerned with saving his business.


So you see, there is a precedent to all these and this issue will run its full course. Even the lawyer I wanted to use was threatened via SMS by the same man. But we are strong and still standing. We have every proof we need and we will make sure that place is closed down soonest for the safety of the public.

How can a man be so wicked?I personally know someone,a friend actually that ran a 3 months course for over 9 months.After spending so much time and resources ,collection of result was another problem.

My friend resorted to writing series of petitions to Dss before he was able to get his result.I m surprised that the school still exist.I think bringing his case to nairaland is a step in the right direction.More needs to be done to warn others about this man and his activities.

let me list some of his mode of operation


1. Employ Mr. A for Position X
- demand he performs duties as poxition Y alongside X
- owe him first two months (this is intentional,cos if you decide to leave, he wins having owed u two months)
- increase work duration of Mr. A. beyond the agreed time
- delay issuance of appointment / employment letter
- sack staff when he becomes "too demanding" of his/ her own hard earned money

that guy is a beast, he ruined the careers of many young students while i was there, those guys pay up to a million bucks, you will be surprised there isn't a serviceable generator in the premise, at some point class could not hold cos he couldn't afford to buy fuel even @N65 per little.

Dont be fooled by the wife's supposed candour, she's in on it. that guy runs an organized scam, he even has as part of his team, some broke arse lawyers. His own brother the tall slim one left him, only nyekere stayed cos he couldnt do anything with his life without him, nyekere is the most owed staff at that place.

Inibehe's problem is that he likes to live beyond his means, he lives in a serviced estate, wants his children to go to the best schools, drives the best car at the expense of innocent student and faculty. he will forever live to remember me cos i stood up to him every time he plays his games, i had to resign before he could even sack me,

i wrote a letter to one of the Indians, informing him about inibehe's activities in the name of Aptech but i received no response. i think they are in on it it too.

i even wanted to sue him after i settled in life but because of my job type, it would look like am using "power" but let anyone do so, i will travel down to testify. i need that guy to rot in hell! very bright minds he killed with his ways at ACE Uyo.

The man is simply evil! There is nothing that hasn't been done to shake him. The Indians are very much aware of what he does and since they receive their share of the money, they turn a blind eye. All of them are in cahoots.

What annoys me most is that innocent people are falling pray for this everyday and nothing is being done whatsoever. The guy still posts job listings everyday on Jobberman and people fall into his trap. Recently, someone even left Lagos to Uyo just to pick up this job and same thing happened to her. Now she is stranded, with nothing and Mr Inibehe Otoho is not in a little bit concerned about it.

What of the students? They aren't even being taught anything! How can they be taught without teachers?

I was a counselor there and this man and his wife made me lie every day. I was the link between the management and the students and each time students that have paid fees, by fees I don't mean one naira ooo, some pay as much as eight hundred thousand naira for their professional courses. So whenever they come to me with complains of no lecturer, Mr. Inibehe would insist I lie to them. These lecturers come to see him for their salaries and he sometimes exchanges words with them. He once called a co-worker "Dirty hungry thing". After a month of suffering, he paid me half salary and refused paying the rest anything. Second month, he didn't pay, kept promising but for persons he was already owing three, four months, the promises weren't working. Some started disturbing him, he even received text messages threatening him to pay while some just stopped coming. The few of us remaining were literally suffering and smiling until he sacked Idorenyin. This is a girl that he owes 6 months salary. She kept coming with the hope that he would pity her and eventually pay, sometimes she borrows transport just to be in the office. This was my sign, I quietly resigned and begged him to pay my salary to my account but till date, I have received no alert from him.

If possible, when contacting Middlesex University I would recommend formal letters (with all evidence documented) in addition to emails. I would also suggest getting it out to the media / newspapers, and possibly the state government too.

For Aptech, if you can get the name of the global CEO, you can also reach out to him/her via LinkedIn.

Unlike in Nigeria, universities and companies in the West are particular about who they establish affiliations with, they can consider withdrawing their affiliation with a company bringing their name to disrepute, so contacting them is an indirect way of putting pressure on Aptech to ensure they do the right thing.

It is disheartening how a human being would accept to become a monster to fellow humans.

The owner of that Aptech, Uyo, from what I've read so far, is not different from some Nigerian employers who think employees are to be used like rags, except that he took his to the extreme.

When will our labour laws work? I strongly want to follow up on this. Even if it is just to retweet.

Here is my story:

Fresh out of NYSC in 2015, I saw Aptech Uyo's ad on Jobberman for a position and I applied, went for interview and got a job offer. While I was working there, the outgoing manager kept on coming week in week out to see Mr Otoho, its later I got to know he owed him months of salaries.

Everyone was urged to do marketing even though you were not a marketer. I started noticing Mr Otoho's penchant for owing salaries when after a month I was not paid and then 2 other staff as well, everything started becoming clearer, I knew this wasn't the place for me. Imagine a young man staying spending on feeding, transportation and not being paid.

I started looking for other job options, applied for a firm still in Uyo, got the interview invite, coming to work seemed like carrying a rock on my head, I hated the marketing aspect of the job and also the fact that salaries don't get paid compounded everything, I took the bold step and resigned even before the firm I applied for gave me the job, and as God would have it, after I resigned, I was given the job in the new firm.

When I tendered my resignation, the man seemed so cool as someone who has seen such a lot, he took his calculator and smartly calculated the "2 weeks in lieu of notice" and deducted it from the salary of roughly 50 days I had worked there, apart from this man being a good mathematician, I could see he had done this a lot and was skilled at it. He claimed he would pay me that week and I left.

After the deductions, my pay was supposed to be something around 21K, I kept calling this man to know why I wasn't paid yet, I was so broke then. This man is really heartless I must say! The other guy working with me at Aptech Uyo also resigned.
Of the 21K, I got alert of 8K only, the rest money I have not heard of till date! The other people I know were not paid a thing!


This man employs people, doesn't pay and waits for them to resign, since you resigned yourself he would smartly make you feel that its only normal for you to wait to be paid, and the ones working still and being owed salaries would keep doing free work for him till they can't take it again and leave, Mr Otoho has been using the elaborate employment scam for years.

He wasted people's lives there, a knew a young guy who studied in a top Ghanaian University, fresh out of school who was working there and had to resign, a knew a guy who graduated from American University Yola who was working there as a lecturer, he used the dude like a slave till the dude also left. I still know of another young lady whom he owed till she stopped coming.

This man is a calculating criminal! I'm still working/residing in Uyo, so if you guys wanna take him to court and need witnesses, I will gladly do that, I still got all documents to prove I was employed there.

I pray we the young ones can change this country and make employers to stop taking staff for a ride and and feeling that nothing will happen, this has to end!

I have a friend that he has duped with his employment format.

As far as I am concerned, he should be behind jail. I can vividly remember how he treated Brian, my former bf who left Abia State and got a job in this scam of a coy.
Brian left everything behind and arrived Uyo with only enough money to rent a one room apartment without furniture with the hope that he'd be paid at the end of the month so that he can kick-start his life. Brian was even posting pictures of himself in office on Facebook and everyone was congratulating him.
One month passed and Brian was asking me to borrow him 20k that he'll pay me back when his Oga pays him. Two months passed and Brian said he hasn't been paid. I even had to give him extra 10k so that he can manage.
Brian was even telling me of how the man sacked other people without pay and how those who came asking for their pay were treated. At the end, Brian stayed there for 3 months and he wasn't paid. He even begged the man to give him as little as 5k to eat but the man said there's no money even though students are paying fees and his children are in the most expensive schools in Akwa Ibom.
Till today, Brian has not been paid. The room he rented was wasted. The money he spent in Uyo was wasted. The man didn't even show any sign of concern and Brian had to leave the Uyo. Thinking about this alone has made me sad and angry.
