The government owned refineries would never work optimally as long as they are government owned.

We do however have the optimism that the Dangote refinery as well as other private refineries in the pipeline would fill this chasm.

Nigerians would need to bear with all these shenanigans until these private refineries come on stream.

As minister of petroleum, this performance is extremely poor and unacceptable. No progressive thinking country keeps ministers that can not perform in office.

Woeful and exceptional weak performance as head of petroleum in Nigeria.

- high cost of PMS at retail stations
- high cost of AGO at retail stations
- Non-availability and high cost of DPK at retail stations

Clueless and enriching the elites at the expense of masses.

its so disturbing how this regime puts its citizens in a very dark room with no light. then when the darkness becomes unbearable & the people are about to revolt, it opens a tiny peephole that lets in a little light & says "you see, I am a benelovent regime, & I care for you".

it makes the product so scarce that the people will appreciate a price increase just to get the product when in reality the people have been scammed...

The government seems to be out of option for now as there seem not to be any known policy in place. To those complaining that Nigeria now import Kerosene, the country have been importing kerosene and other refined products since God knows when. NNPC cut down importation with the believe that the refined products at the refinery would be enough to saturate the market but it was like day dreaming as we all know that the refineries are not working at their optimum capacities hence the reason for the scarcity witnessed all around the country. For now importation seems to be the only shortcut to the availability of the product in the market as the refineries are in comatose.
