Nigeria a country which ranges from the deserts on the edges of the sahara through the cattle grazing pastures through the mineral hills of the central plateau down to the coast and the swamps of the river delta was a business deal for the British as all intellectuals and non zombies know. However, due to tribalism, ethnicity, religious differences, favouritism and many more, have been ravaged by corruption that one cannot help but wonder if the entity called Nigeria would still remain in the near future. Secession is eminent and only a fool would doubt its possibility. Igbos et al have not been violent in their demand but that's not the case of the much dreaded, more formidable and highly soffisticated NDA which have gathered almost same support from the supporters of Igbos et al. In most part of the north and west they are viewed as jobless vagabonds constituting nuisance. But in the south they are viewed as heroes as some youths now wear clothes with "Niger delta avengers" inscribed on it. This shows how deeply they are loved by many from the south and hated by most from the north and west.
The big questions are:

Are they HEROES or VILLAINS?

Are their actions justified?

Can anything be done to remedy the country's situation?

Do you honestly support their methods?

I think that the actions of the militants are some what justified. I also like the fact that they have not killed anyone yet.

Nigeria is simply a money making venture that Lord Lugard and the British set up in West Africa. Today, that British money making venture is why someone in Sokoto will be claiming the Oil and Gas in Bayelsa, it is also the reason someone in Ibadan will be claiming the Oil in Ibibio land. How can someone go and take what is in another persons land? When you ask them, they will say it is because Lugard made us one. I laugh in Igbo. The militants are only taking back what theirs, they are taking control of their resources that has been stolen for decades in the name of 'one Nigeria'. Now, the Nigerian Government is ready to negotiate. If the militants had not blown up pipelines, nobody would take them seriously because violence is the only language the Nigerian Government understands. The British invented fraud of a nation called Nigeria is why the militants are justified in controlling their lands and resources and the violent methods they use is the only option the Government of Buhari left them.
