The presidency has order the investigation of those Nigerians named in the leaked Panama Papers.

This was revealed by the chairman of the Code Of Conduct Bureau, Sam Saba. He revealed this to Premium Times as he asked the newspaper help in acquiring the leaked Panama Papers. He said he had earlier tried to download the leaked document online so he can begin studying the case. But he was asked to pay some amount of money to download the documents online. Money which he claimed not to have, until someone directed him to get the documents from Premium Times as they had earlier on published the report.

The report which reveal large scale corruption all over the world involving well known world figure like David Cameron, Russian President, Vladimir Putin and other world leaders.

The Panama Papers also have lots of Nigerians on the list, most of them top politicians and businessmen trying to hide money.

Notable on the Panama Paper are Senate President, Bokula Saraki and Former Senate President, David Mark. Saraki is believed to have properties that are hidden through shell companies that he failed to declare. And David Mark, who according to the Panama Paper might be one of the richest men in the country.

The Chairman of the CCB admits that the list of Nigerian was forwarded by the presidency but it is yet to be made public.
