Why can't we build world class infrastructure in Nigeria?

Long before beginning of the last presidential election campaign, these northern people attended every important Owambe party in Yoruba land. They knew then that Yoruba votes were very vital to unseat Jonathan.
Now with Yoruba VP, these north people know that SE/SS votes shall be vital to beat the Yoruba VP.

Only a few southern states is what any northern presidential candidate supported by most of north needs to win presidential election in today's Nigeria.

Nigeria was politicaly restructured by northern soldiers who wrongly used Land mass as criterion to create 20 new Federal units in once one northern region, but only 17 units in once two southern region.

A presidential candidate needs 25% votes from 24 of the 36 states to win. North created 19 states and Abuja for north.

It's no more easy to restructure this in a democracy.

The voting patterns of Plateau, Kogi, Kwara, Taraba and sometimes Benue does not always go the way of the "core north" o.

Lemme tell you something, if those five states go rogue, Wahala dey for any candidate, ask Buhari in 2011 and Jonathan in 2015.

This country can still work.
But these old men will have to give way first, then the country will have to be restructured too.

So what is your point?
In Land mass, they are bigger, do you expect them to have less states
The problem is two fold
1)First we vote along ethnic lines and
2) Southern Nigeria is disunited. And Yoruba and Igbo people will not stop bickering at each other...
If these two key ethnic groups align forces, the north will not see power for 30 years...., assuming we get the middle belt (or at least half of it) to cooperate

The good news is that at least there is something built (the hotel complex)

But that is where the good news ends.

To call it the best in Nigeria by the former Militant Abdulsami, is in itself and indictment that Nigeria is trash. This hotel complex in Nnewi cannot even be approved by FIFA or Commonwealth games as a hotel accommodation (if such existed).

Cant these "leaders" build things like those in Dubai, or Ireland, or places without any oil are doing that is world class?
