An ex-militant group has disclosed what it will demand of the federal government during the proposed dialogue with militants in the Niger Delta region. The group which accepted to be part of the peaceful negotiation proposed by Niger Delta leaders two days ago said it wants the amnesty programme to be well funded by the government, Vanguard reports. This was contained in a statement by its leader, Paul Toruwei. Its other demands were that: “ There should be automatic employment of graduates in the areas of operation of major oil companies and the oil/ pipeline surveillance contracts should be awarded to the youths of such places. “All oil polluted lands in the Niger Delta area should be cleaned up and compensation paid to all affected oil producing communities .” Following the ceasefire announced by the Niger Delta Avengers, other militants in the region have decided to give peace a chance . The militant group said it was quitting the creeks temporarily as it wanted to give the federal government a chance to meet the demands made by the militants.

This one just said the FG should build houses for criminals, while civil servants are struggling to find a roof over their heads.

Wonders shall truly never end.

I blame all the previous administrations for succumbing to the scam amnesty programme to fund the lazy, perverted and ogogoro soaked lifestyles of those overgrown creek rats.
