“Every free government is manage by the wisdom and folly of the people” but it is rather sad, pathetic, and dis-heartening to note that the set of dubious political buccaneers whose only aim is to attain power at all cost had been engaging Nigerians in Chip, enty, Rancorous and Discordant talk to further jeopardize the future of the well acclaimed Giant of "Africa".
The social political and economical state of this country calls for sober reflection and yet amidst this mystery and agony, Nigeria is celebrating 49years of Independence. We mourn for this country today because our dear country is suffering from a disease called "Lazarus syndrome" has a result of the political class who engages in psychotic and persidious tendency in other to get the juicy part of the national cake.
Furthermore, Independence Day symbolises the day of freedom and next in importance to freedom and justice is popular education without which neither freedom nor justice can be permanently maintained. The government of Yar’adua has taken education with levity and further darkens to bright future of the country when it fails to fund education but can bail out five fraudulent banks with #420bn.
To buttress our points, the government of the day lacks basic political and philosophical insight on the yearnings and basic needs of the masses and so have lost touch with people they govern. this is very obvious in all sectors of the country has Nigeria which is ranked the 7th largest producer of crude oil (Opec) have only four refineries which are in a dilapidated condition due to poor management, why Venezuela the 4th largest producer of crude oil is managing Nineteen refineries.
In addition, Japan has a limited territory". eighty percent mountainous, in adequate for agriculture and cattle rearing yet it is the second largest economy in the world importing raw materials in the whole world and exporting manufactured product. Then there is Singapore a country of just 640sq kilometer (Lagos is 3, 345sq Kl) it does not have a drop of crude oil yet it is world stored largest crude oil refining center
in a nutshell, they that can give up commonly battery to obtain temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety and those who denied freedom to others deserve it not for themselves and lastly, we are nothing on earth, if we are not in the first place the slave of a cause, the cause of the people and the cause of justice and liberty ARISE O COMPATRIOT, NIGERIAS CALLS, OBEY.
