Technology made it possible for us to air church has messages on TV... Which same TV others use to watch porn.. Technology made it possible for us to use Bible in our phone which same phone some people use it to watch porn... If u think adopting what technology brings it's better don't have phone dont have TV. Nothing wrong with that as far as it is the word of God. You may as well ask yourself whether those words of God quoted from memory during prayers is actually the word of God just because its not read from the bible. What makes the bible is the word of God. Without the word of God in the bible, it is ordinary book.

Sir, u av killed, buried & covered it all up. Nothing more to say. The carrier of the word changes with time & advancement BUT the word itself changeth not. just as scrolls & tablets av faded out, with time paper work will also fade out but d word itself will ever be fresh. So, enough of the argument on container its the contents that matter. What we call the bible is actually the content just as its the congregation dt makes the church not the structure.

You should rather be bothered that men who read the Bible do not obey the commandments of God!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, I was called out for bible reading today and I read from my tablet, though I would have read from my bible because of people who ain't comfortable with it but unfortunately my bible version isn't king James and my church uses King James so I had no choice than to use the tab.

the moment I saw this post, I know a lot "say so and hear so" would follow. The pro iPad bible peeps will say even the Paper bible is an advancement in tech moreso the iPad n tablets.
What matters to me is "purpose and intent"
Those are the two factors at play here.
If a man of God uses an iPad because its the best form of drawing people to God, I think its kudos, but when we use gadgets because of competition, show off and playing to the galery , then I think the PURPOSE is defeated by the INTENT!

The word of God was formally in wooden tablets but when Jesus came he met Scroll and he embrace "technology" that converted wooden tablet to scroll.... The ancient pastors and evangelist embrace the conversion of scroll or printed Bible, so why shouldn't we embrace the next level of technology IN AS MUCH AS THE ORIGINAL WORDINGS ISN'T ALTERED

If and only if the ipad contains only the electronic Bible, then I agree its a holy book and nothing wrong reading from it. But in most cases the ipad is loaded with or is been used to browse and download immoral things which made it unholy.The Bible is an holy book that should be handled with utmost regard.
I strongly believe that we should be technologically driven but if the electronic bible is not kept sacred, please give me the paper holy book; its just enough for me.

the truth is if it is actually the words of God that he reads from whatever device he reads from. the power in the word of God is such that those devices automatically becomes holly either iPad or tablet just as those pages of book gotten from tree of the forest becomes a Holly book for bearing in it the Holy Words of God so dose such device gotten from metal, silver ore whatever source you get it from becomes holly at least for the moment it transmits those same real and Tue Holly words of God to salvation longing souls
