The bravery, courage, eagerness and indefatigability of some Nigerian  heroes led  to  the  removal  of gag from  mouth  and  shackles from the  legs of  mother Nigeria.

It  was the  pressing  need and  selfless hearts  of these  heroes towards  the unborn generation of this  nation  that arose in them,  the  determination  to put  up a challenge to  imperialism  and an indictment to  colonialism.

They innoculated  themselves with  the  poison  of  resistance  against  tyrrany.

After a prolonged fight  and  reaffirmation  of  faith, their  dream came  into  reality  on  october 1, 1960. That  was  when the  tyrranical  British  ruler declared Nigeria  as being free  from  slavery. Notable  among tyrranists is Dr Malan Apartheid who would have submerged  the  whole  Africa, if  not  for  the restiveness  of  the late  visioner sages.

Truly, I agree with Havelock Ellis who said "there  would not  have  been  Francis  the  Saint,if  there are  had  not  been Francis the  Sinner". But reverse is the  case  with  the  path  through  which Nigerian  politics  is being  played nowadays.

The  suffering  of  the initiators  is  now  being  turned down  without  any  encouraging regards.I imagine,if the  these  so  called  selfless fighters  could  have  an acess  to reincarnation, and  still  with the  memories  of their  slavery  before liberty, it  would  have  spelt  doom  for  all  the present  day selfcentered-politicians.

It is  very  shameful thet  after  four decades  and  nine years,70% Nigerian are still in  abject poverty . While our road  networks are decorated  with pot holes, epileptic power  outage  tosses our economy  like  pendulum.

The interest  of  the masses  in the face  of  this  country  Governance  has  been  soiled  contrary to  the  definition  of democracy, according  to a  political  icon, as  the  government of  the  people, by  the  people  and  for  the  people.

The quest  for  power  by  some  aspirants is  no more  for  the  people  at  the  grassroot  but  for  their curruptible bellies. And  this  has gotten  long tap  root to the  extent that  the  developing  embryo  in the  womb  of  her  mother  is  already  with  the  mentality  of  embezzling  funds, while  in  power.

Conclusively,it  is  high  time  goverment  of  this  nation  took  a new  face  by  visiting the  source  of  our  independence  and  taking  a rectifying  action  with  a newness  and  righteousness  of  heart  by  all  top  officials  in all the government  statals,  for  a better  service  to  humanity.

I  am  sure  that  with  the  avoidance  of  selfcenteredness  and  total  erasure  of  the  phylosophy  of  political  investment, colosal  change  for better  will  be  recorded.
