There's a Scholarship opportunity available to Nigerians to study at Fellowship level up to 2 months in South Africa & Australia, & a Master's degree program in Australia courtesy of the Australian Scholarship Awards for Africa. The program is open to early to mid-career professionals from the Public, Private & Civil Society sectors who can use the skills gained from the Awards towards progressing Nigeria' development objectives.
The following are Nigeria' priority sectors for the program:
1. Masters
Agriculture; Public Policy; Extractive; Health; Education; Environment & Gender.
2. Fellowship
Ocean governance & sustainable fisheries;
Mineral & energy economics;
Managing Mining closure;
Agribusiness;
Increasing the development impact of agricultural research; Public Private Partnerships in infrastructure ; & Trade Policy & negotiations.
The scholarship is one of the best & apart of school fees being paid by the Australian Government, each Awardee is entitled to A$35,000 per annum as A$5,000 on arrival in Australia & A$1150 every fortnightly till you will leave Australia. You can also bring in your family while you are studying. If you are a Federal Government staff, you will be on study leave pay throughout your stay in Australia.
This scholarship is a capacity developing scholarship open only to someone in employment. If you are 50 years old or below as at the time of application, you can apply.
