Rare cars are like vintage wines once you pop em and bask in the glory of its contents, there is no going back but popping in this case is taken to mean the automotive equivalent of a terrorist attack.

This happened some days back in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. It's right across the border from Laredo, Texas. From what we can get from the story which was reported en Espanol - The rare custom Koenigsegg CCX with chassis number #63 had reportedly been in Mexico for only a day and was headed back to Texas, USA.

It said to have been occupied by two men who were driving at a very super speed which we can only imagine (we were not there), crashed and somersaulted near kilometer marker 12. From the pictures, you might want to think a bomb or missile was involved - it wasn't.

The driver and passenger were sent to the hospital, but their condition is unknown and as for the CCX which is said to be worth about $700,000 when new - I'll say is just another Hero to Zero story.

$700,000 kwa?! well....,

it must take a stupendous level of idiocy for one to crash such a car. as in why speed in crowded areas with trees and poles waiting to tear you into pieces once you skid off the road. I just remembered Paul Walker (RIP), just a tiny tree ended his life.
