Arrested Journalist Linked To Boko Haram, Ahmad salkida Released by sharpden: 7:10am On Sep 07, 2016

THE Department of State Security Services (DSS) has released Ahmad Salkida, the Nigerian journalist declared wanted by the Nigerian Army for having links with the Boko Haram terrorist group.

Salkida was arrested on Monday by DSS operatives when he arrived Abuja after his visa to the United Arab Emirates expired.

Salkida was released on Tuesday evening after undergoing interrogation by the DSS.

He denied all allegations that he had links with the Boko Haram sect when quizzed by DSS officials.

Salkida was declared wanted on August 14 alongside two others – Ahmed Umar Bolori and Aisha Wakil.

The Nigerian Army claimed that the trio have links with the Boko Haram sect.

Salkida had on the said day released a video by the sect showing the abducted schoolgirls.

After interrogation, he was released without conditions, and all documents and devices confiscated from him were returned.
