Central Bank of Nigerian had set plans through the CBN Governor to release new polymer notes on the 30th of September 2009.

Who could have wanted the idea of changing the lower denominations (i.e. 5 Naira, 10 Naira, 20 Naira (already polymer) and 50 Naira)? What good is it to us as Nigerians? Anyway without asking much question I feel we take a little look on the qualities of good money. From economics, nation’s currency must be durable and reliable and here are the main points.

Some regard the 20 Naira Polymer as Nigerian Dollar and if I may say, it’s nice beholding the new 20 Naira polymer note but come to think of when it is old, how do people value it? Nigerians will tell better what it means and besides, traders have their own report to give about the polymer note.
