According to blogger StellaDimokokorkus, who reported about a top Nollywood actress
wanted to have a low-key wedding, outside the eye of friends and family, an idea which the parents of the groom-to-be frowned at, which eventually led to husband-to-be did not show up at the wedding venue.
Reports had it that the top Nollywood actress was Superstar actress, Genevieve Nnaji and top Nigerian NBA Basketball agent, Ugochukwu Udezue.

The cancellation of the secret wedding was said to have happened because of the actress’s decisions over their wedding.

Following rumours that her secret wedding was cancelled at the last minute, the alleged reasons behind the cancellation were revealed.

According to reports, Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji was planning to walk down the aisle with her ‘boo’ Ugochukwu Udezue, about two weeks ago, but the wedding was called off.
According to the gist, the wedding which was supposed to be a ‘top secret’, had been scheduled to hold in Milan, Italy, away from the prying eyes of the public.

Her fiance Ugochukwu, who is the founder of the African Basketball League and also a wealthy NBA basketball agent based in Denver, Colorado in the USA, was said to have gotten angry over the ‘hush-hush’ affair, as he couldn’t understand why she refused to invite her parents and family members.

He reportedly told his friends that he couldn’t trust her for choosing to make the marriage a very private affair. Ugochukwu also reportedly said his father has refused to attend or give them his blessing, because he was suspicious of Genevieve’s reasons for not wanting even close family members at the wedding.

According to the gist, even though Genevieve didn’t invite her family members, she however invited one of her best friends, supermodel Oluchi Orlandi and a few other close friends.

Rumour also has it that Ugochukwu is a father of four children, however it is unclear if the pair are still in a relationship or if the wedding will be rescheduled later.

I support the guy for calling off the wedding.
Its obvious she is hiding something from the man, how can the marriage last when the foundation has started fallen?

Well in d western world marriages are sometimes conducted without d presence of family members ..just dcouples and d priest just to show committment to each other and then divorce wont be difficult if it comes up. So i suspect fowl play. Maybe she's thinking of d fear of divorce since she hasnt been into marriage b4 or she just wanted a date with d guy and it grew to be what she didnt expect or perhaps shes a feminist.

Bcus she cant say a person who knows she's a single parent and yet wants to marry her does not love her or that a lady of her age does not know the importance of parental blessings in marriage.

You know some of these celebrities have fertility problem.. Spiritually or medically, that's why someone of them don't want to get married because they know the man family won't take it easy when they find out... They prefer to stay single than been humiliated. That's why some prefer men with children so that the pressure won't be much.
