Onye nwe ala/ana/ani/ali doesn't really exist as a general Igbo culture hence you won't notice it even in Owerri. It has more to do with custodian of land as the 1st settler than kingship it has recently been associated with. About 3 centuries ago when Igbos and various Cross River tribes were moving down south during slave trade and rise of Aro hegemony all those terms like Amadi, Diala, Onyeisi, Onyenweala etc. emerged to distinguish between new arrivals and those already settled. In the core Igbo area which was already settled thousands of years before slave trade there was no need for those but other terms came up too. In summary "Nyenweli" is more Ikwerre term than Igbo and only exists in Igbo communities proximal to Ikwerre.

I almost thought the Isiokpo in question was the one in Ideato, Imo State.
