cool cool cool I bought a Honda Bullet 94 model last month and it has given me the taste I desired in Honda product. whenever I'm driving it i feel like a pilot heading to alaska. the AC makes me feel like praying for no hammatan because I'm already in one. In this case my tokunbo is behaving like a baby plane. tongue

Ya, its no scare but advice, I am stll wonderin how a 2006 accord got to 233,014 miles so fast! shocked shocked shocked

even 2000 arccord are still less than 170,000 miles,

I am equally surprise, but if you see the car you wont believe it has done such milage: very neat. I will come back to testify after 1 year of usage.

Re: How's Your Tokunbo Behaving? by otokx(m): 8:08pm On Oct 09, 2009
The roads in Port Harcourt are so bad that its only a matter of time before you start repairing your car. I have used mine for 3 years now, a nissan maxima 89 model. Just changed the back shocks for the 3rd time last week, now the mechanic is talking of cambers. A new car will still be my best advice for anyone.

Re: How's Your Tokunbo Behaving? by pannyman(m): 9:13pm On Oct 09, 2009
oga pannyman were can i get this miracle chemical spray? i need em for my interior leather seats too. holla

@ hancock, the "miracle spray" is called Max Clean. when I bought my car the dashboard and steering wheel looked quite dirty. There was this embarrassing stain on the dashboard. The car had been brought to Port Harcourt from Lagos by the dealer who happens to be a neighbour so I did not wanna make much of a fuss. When I went to buy my tyres I met this guy who pressed this spray on me and went ahead to use it without my permission and it worked like magic.

Apart from the tyres, battery and bulbs I also replaced all the brake pads. All in all I'm glad I bought this '99 Camry.

Good. But i hardly partake in such deal
Re: How's Your Tokunbo Behaving? by sley4life(m): 9:41pm On Oct 09, 2009
If u need to partake in getting Toks, go for first hand. With lesser milage
Re: How's Your Tokunbo Behaving? by alanbolo(m): 10:06pm On Oct 09, 2009
I believed Ikeymann00 meant 100,000 miles.   As per most manual, it is recommended that the timing belt is changed at 60,000 miles.     I've bough used and new ones, and it all amounts to maintainability,   I don't think I'm ready to sell my new car of 4yrs old yet, however, I still have it behind my head that the used car still have some issues.

Got a '90 model Mazda 626 hatchback (Capella), 12V, 2.2L, Carburettor, 15" alloy rims, anniversary edition.
Has gave minimal probs since i bought it used (toks) in '98. Quite impressive engine performance with tite AC. Stability too much 4 highways, only dat it's somehow slow in picking up speed from rest. I enjoy travellin with d car. Latest fuel economy is almost 1/4 tank from ibadan-akure with AC (completing a 3-hr journey in 2hrs)!. Me sef trip.

Apart from regular servicing 1ce every 3 mnths (which i now do myself),
I replace plugs (with toks too) 2ce a year,
I replace d front tyres yearly (sometimes i simply substitute with d rear tyres and life goes on),
I charge d AC refridgerant myself 1ce- 2ce a year
I replaced d front wheel shafts 1ce (with toks)
I service d carburettor 1ce a year

I changed d engine 1ce ('2k6). D engine is still doing great, but d cam-shaft started making a clicking noise last year. I'm yet to find time to go buy a replacement.

4 my mind, i really don't think i need a new ride for now. I dey feel d ride die!
