Yea, I do, but I'm not fluent cuz I just started learning the language like 2 years back ON MY OWN (I have not been consistent), but I still hope to learn it formally in an institution after I finish schooling.

I would like to ask if there is a difference between direct entry and entry to 100L at universities?

Wa alaykumus salaam...

I would like to ask if there is a difference between direct entry and entry to 100L at universities?

There is a difference, as the name implies you enter into the university directly without having to write jamb, but the candidate will write post jamb, plus direct entry is for entrance into 200l only, no direct entry to 100l, without A levels or its equivalent you can't apply for direct entry.

100level entry on the other hand requires jamb.

100level entry on the other hand requires jamb.

In addition, direct entry also requires Jamb registration but not UTME exam. A direct entry student can still be admitted into level 100 if he/she have lower credit in Diploma in some universities.

That's what I meant when I said "...without having to write jamb.."

A direct entry student can still be admitted into level 100 if he/she have lower credit in Diploma in some universities.

Without jamb result? Pls may I know these "universities"? And pls don't bring in all those private unis.

Jamb is the body via which both D.E and Utme student apply hence the name: Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.

D.E = Direct entry ( is applied via Jamb )

While UTME is the exam written before getting into level 1. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination

2. You misunderstood me. Let me break it, into pieces. What I mean is:

A person who has finished a diploma course and scored a lower credit. Then he applied for direct entry into level 200. He will not be given level 200 rather they will admit him into level 100. Why? because he has lower credit in diploma.

The criteria of going to level 200 via direct entry using diploma in some universities is Upper Credit. So instead of them 2 disqualify you 4 lower diploma credit, they will rather admit you and you step down to level 100.
