: Mr villager, Lekki Ikoyi bridge was fully funded by the Lagos state government and the people of Lagos state, tolling was handed over to a private company to make sure it's properly maintained with funds generated and that's why the bridge is still shining day and night unlike many public infrastructures in Nigeria. Tolling also generate funds for other projects in Lagos state. Smart moves like this is the reason why Lagos sate is self sufficient and never short of funds to build new roads in agege or kosofe or badagry or Lagos Island or new school , hospital and so on Tell your incompetent village leaders to learn Management and Public Administration 101 from Lagos state instead of carrying bad bele, hate and ignorance all over the internet.. Btw, what was the argument and the reason why they tried to stop Lagos state from tolling the bridge with court case that was thrown out anyway? Their argument was the bridge shoild not be tolled because it was built with taxpayers money. Get educated my friend.. 4 Likes |

kayzat:The way you write, I'm not sure you've been to Lagos, not to talk of Kano. Its someone that haven't seen the bridges in Awka physically that you can sell this your biased comment to. What is beautiful about the bridges in Awka? The only replica compared to the Lekki-ikoyi bridge is just that "Metal Mast' on it. Was there any paint beautification done on and at the sides of the bridges in Awka? Abi didn't you see how the kano state flyover was beautifully painted? For your information, there are bad finishings on the slant sides of the bridges where you can still see 'red earth sand'. Are they not suppose to beautify that part of the bridges with Flowers or concrete designs? Try make a physical visit to the Lekki-ikoyi bridge and see things for yourself. 1 Like |

kayzat: 1. Everything under the sun and every obvious facts doesn't have to be hatred against you and your people. What they built in Kano was very complex apart from the fact that it's the longest and most unique in Nigeria and even the whole of West Africa. 2. The Kano flyover is not just a flyover, it's a an engineering combination of flyovers and many interchanges that loops over multiple intersections, exits, on ramps and off ramps. 3. And it still holds the record as the longest in Nigeria. 4. What you have in your village is just a common fly over with 2 funny looking clippers on top which was a made up joke and poor attempt to mimic Lekki Ikoyi bridge. There is nothing like it in your village so stop the needless cries and collective paranoia and anger. These are obvious facts 3 Likes

http://thenationonlineng.net/bridging-infrastructure-deficit-time-like/ A project management consultant, Aderanti Dairo, said: “MMA2 is a very good example of a PPP arrangement that has worked and has shown that if the government is serious about closing the infrastructure deficit, PPP is the way to go. It has really been a resounding success, which no one can deny. PPP is sure the way to go.”State governments, such as Lagos, Rivers and Cross River states, have also used the PPP. In Lagos, the Lekki-Epe Expressway was built through the PPP. The Eko Atlantic project, which is sitting on what used to be known as the Bar Beach, is being implemented through the PPP. The Lekki-Ikoyi suspended bridge was also built through PPP. A new sea port and airport around Lekki are also being worked out through a PPP arrangement. aarressa: Low IQ You can deceive gullible minds not me, I was living at Norman Williams Ikoyi when that project was flagged off between 2009/2010 1 Like |

[s] post=49499501:[/s] Olodo villager, PPP was for tolling to raise money for maintenance and revenue generation.... Learn how to read and comprehend. PPP was for tolling and not for construction and this was discussed and trashed in a court case that allowed Lagos to toll the bridge? 1. What did JB contributed to be involved in any PPP with Lagos state? What is the nature of the PPP arrangement with Lagos state? What was contributed by JB? Please explain to us.. 2. Why is Lagos state tolling and collecting money on the bridge for use by the people of Lagos if it was a PPP with JB? If you are going to argue, show us the PPP arrangement that says JB funded the bridge.. Below is legal court assertions by the judge regarding who funded the bridge.. The fact before this court is that the bridge was built with the third respondent’s money. lol @ villager who neva gather enough ekekedilishuku money to escape village poverty and run to the SW saying he lived in Lagos...... 3 Likes |

[s] adellam16:[/s] Wonder why you villagers are here trying make us laugh at your rancid jokes when your own village Governor can not even put 2 kobo together to build your village 2nd NB. You losers have so much to say about other people progressing and developing, but ordinary village bridge they can not build even after begging the FG left and right for 30 years. You know who is going to build that 2nd NB village bridge? The same Fashola. You know who's name is going to be on the commissioning tablet on that bridge when it's commissioned? The same Fashola and so shall the name shall remain on that tablet forever to torment you and to show you that the same Fashola did what your own useless and incompetent leaders and even Jona and PDP could not do.. You see the sad irony behind your hate and bitterness... 2 Likes 2 Shares |
