Sale of our National Assets

Selling our national assets such as The Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) in order to raise funds for Nigeria's ailing economy? I just can't get it. To see that those advocating for this are the same people who directly or indirectly have contributed in no small measure to the gory state our nation has found itself makes it a kabuki.

Who are those going to buy them when they are sold? The same kleptomaniacs who have milked the country dry? People who collect double salaries: full salaries and emoluments from their states as former governors and salaries as serving senators, ministers etc? If these leaders are truly sincere in the survival of Nigeria, why haven't they foregone one of those salaries that they presently earn and advocate for the reduction of salaries earned by members of the National Assembly; Federal Ministers; and other government functionaries? They will now use our own monies, which they stole from us and are still stealing from us to buy our future and those of our children, grandchildren and many generations yet unborn.

Fellow Nigerians, I have long realised that 'it is not yet Uhuru' for us in Nigeria. We have to resist this move. Like the late Robert Nesta Marley (Bob Marley) said we have to 'emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds'. We have to realise that our enemies in Nigeria are not religious leaders or tribal warlords; these are just the revealed agents of those behind the masks.

Our real enemies are those who 'put a knife on the things that held us together' and divide us along religious and tribal lines in order to achieve their selfish ambitions. We have to deliver ourselves from the torture of these tormentors that cut across all parties: APC; PDP; LP etc. While they are busy milking the country and preparing their children to take over from them, they are deceiving us with change.

Say NO to the sale of our national assets. They are part of our national heritage.
