10 Super Kitchen Tricks You Must Know

Knowledge they say is power.
Today,i will guide you through 10 really simple kitchen tricks and i promise you are going to love them.

1.When next you are cooking beans and you want it done quickly,get an iron spoon and put it inside the boiling beans.
This will help the beans get done sooner than you expected it.
Potash also helps in doing this but some people dont go well with potash due to its acidic content.

2.We all know that Canda(kpomo) takes a long time to get cooked.
Now,if you want your canda to soften easily,put chewing gum into the boiling meat and in the next few minutes,it will soften.
Note:don’t put the chewing gum that you have already bereaved of its sugar.lol. Put the fresh chewing gum and let it do the magic.

3.Is the food too salty?
There is a way out,rub palm oil around the pot containing the food and allow it to heat for some minutes.
The food will almost become insipid that you will have to add salt again to make it tasty.
Or better still,peel a potato and drop in the food.

4.So you bought tomatoes or citrus like orange,lemon etc and decided to keep them in the fridge?
Biko don’t do it.
If you already did,please go and remove them.
Why?
Refridgerators has very low temperature and this reduces the flavor and taste of those fruits.
Take note.

5.Did you burn a pot of rice?
They will surely call you a bad cook for this but don’t worry.This is what you have to do to get rid of the burnt taste;Get one or two slices of bread(depends on your pot size) and place it on top the rice for about 5 minutes.
This will get rid of the burnt flavour.

6.Do you want to know if your eggs are still fresh?

Get a bowl and pour water into it.About 5 inches will do.

Now put your eggs in it.Watch out for the ones that stays perfectly at the bottom.They are still fresh.
If one end happens to tip up,its not very fresh.Make sure you use it as soon as possible.
If the egg floats on the water,its no longer fresh.

7.To bar ants from entering your kitchen,all you need to do is to discover where they always come from.
Get vaseline and rub it there and the little things wont dare cross it.
If they happen to be coming under a door,get and chalk and draw a line on the floor.They wont cross it.

8.If after making your stew and you find out its too greesy or contains much fat.Put an ice cup in it.

The ice cube works like a magnet on the ice.When the ice magnets the fat to itself,easily scoop out with our spoon.
You should repeat with another ice.

9.You might have a bottle of oil in the kitchen but you are afraid to use it because you used it to fry something before.And you don’t want that taste on your food.

You can still use it without tasting whatever it was used to fry.

Get a piece of fresh ginger and put in the oil while heating it.

10.Except you want your bananas to ripen quickly,don’t store them in bunch because bananas emits some gases that makes other bananas to ripen fast.

If you want your bananas to stay fresh for longer,separate them.

Now listen to this;if you dont want your water to boil over the pot,put a long wooden spoon or wooden spatula over the pot
