What is illegal in a company doing legit business and taking their profits back home.

Did MTN not pay tax at different levels to the Government and relevant government agencies? If the answer is yes, then there is nothing to investigate.

It shows the level of ignorance in leadership positions. They don't even recognize that this alone is actually scaring investors.
Ability to remit profit to country of origin is a country specific advantage and a strong consideration for FDI.
