Edo: INEC Declares Godwin Obaseki Governor Elect by sharpden: 2:03pm On Sep 29, 2016
THE Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the candidate of All Progressives Congress,Godwin Obaseki as governor-elect of the Edo State governorship Election.


Obaseki, pulled 319,483 votes while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party Mr Osagie Ize-Iyamu, pulled 253,173 votes, official results from INEC says.

Announcing the results from the 18 local governments area, APC won 13, while PDP won 5.

The PDP has rejected the outcome of the election.
