This economic recession don frustrate alot of people. So anywhich way they can, they try to make money, atleast to keep body and soul together.

It has been said over and over again that one day, the poor will have nothing to eat, but the rich.

This just might be the beginning of the fulfilment of that 'prophecy'

embarassed

May she return safe to her family.

You logic is funny to say the least. As if crime just started today. Nigeria was crappy, is crappy and will always be crappy. Instead of you to castigate them, you are here justifying and giving reasons for their actions. Newsflash!!. There is zero justifiable reason for it. Not surprised though. Nigerians will always find a good reason for the absurdity in their country. Smh

Hope our leaders are beginning to realize that their failure to do the right thing in terms of developing the society will eventually come to hurt everyone. Not just the poor people. It is so unfortunate what the country is turning into.
Nigeria is now a laughing stock. What a shame!

na wa...our police men are just so weak ...to bad for her

"However, when the police were confronted with the superior firepower of the kidnappers they ran away, leaving her and the other victims in the hands of the criminals."

My br, the problem of Nigeria is multifaceted .The NFP is not well equipped. In fact i get infuriated each time i see the wood they give to our security agencents as gun

I feel for the woman

May God save us

Who would blame the kidnappers when we have higher criminals in power? If in this recession, Oshiomole and his stooges had enough money to pay 5k per vote, he can pay CBN governor's wife ransom without batting an eyelid. The evils that the 'bigmen' have done is catching up with them. That route is so terribly bad now, even if the president is blowing siren, I won't give chance at all. Passed it today, spent about 30 minutes of my precious time marking time there and assuming we have a government. I only wish these kinds of things will meeting 'bigmen' and not people in private sector hustling their butts out for a living.
They tarred a road that had been lying fallow for donkey years at Emefiele's home town just because his father (or was it mother sef?) passed on and I jokingly asked when the other would pass on so that another road would be tarred. Meaning, if he wasn't expecting the high and mighty, Imudia street would still be a dead end.
For the sake of being human, I hope she is returned safe and sound and in good health. Things like this only happens to tell the 'bigmen' that there is no superman. C'est finis.

Actually ma'am the police does more than the daily work we see personally.

They are not combat officers and the best they was to back off. The aim is to protect the VIP she may loose her life in a fire crossfire. The military will take care of the Job, that's a high profile kidnapping and those idiots are surrounded already. The military won't storm the arena to release her due to the fear of risking her life. However, if anything happens to her they will be forced to take full force. The Nigerian navy tried that already.

Not even the US navy seals or British SBS will storm the kidnappers den without negotiation to buy time.
They didn't protect her because it wasn't their job, there are some terminologies which I would love to put in so that you will understand my own side of the argument on vip protection but this is a public forum and one needs to be mindful of the utterances and language used, still at that they have failed.

They should equally ask for a jet to carry the money out of the country. Kidnappers with no brain, except they ask for the money in USD anyway they go about it they will be caught.

This is sad that some nigerians have decided go into criminal activities in order to be relevant. Later they will say it is poverty that caused it. Where in this world is there no poverty? People do what they will naturally do when they have the opportunity . We are just so quick to put the blame on something or someone

May God keep her safe
What an intelligent girl you are. I've not seen your pic but I find you attractive already,i love girls that think smart. Upon all the recession in Nigeria, this country is not as worse as Malawi or Mali and a criminal in Malawi is a criminal, nothing like he's a criminal because he's in Malawi

Why will she move with only police escorts, is she not entitled to security details? A police has little knowledge on vip protection, there is a big yardstick between escorts duty and protective duty. With the security situation of the country she deserves better protection than that. Sometimes most of these vips overlook the usefulness of security because they don't want to spend, or they perceived most of them as illiterate who can't add any inputs to their lives. One wicked thing about those kidnappers they always rape their female victims irrespective of their status or age. In as much as an insider can not be overruled in this issue it's pertinent for most vips to accept proactive intelligence and security education because no one has autonomy over knowledge, education and intelligence.

You mean 4 police escorts aren't enough?
She doesn't have an official position hence doesn't deserve even 4. She could pay for private security if she needed more protection.

A first lady of a state or even the SGF's wife doesn't get 4 police escorts.

Even at that, 4 police or military men couldn't have have come against a band of 15 armed men with m134 minigun with belts , no matter their preparedness.

Very sad thing.Nigerians are angry. We will be seeing more of this if government continues to slack.

This woman is innocent. Let them target the main guys, senators, hor members etc.
