I think he must have been joking. Only people who have been living under a rock will not know the value of vintage cars. Only the very rich have the money, time, taste or appreciation to restore a vintage car. Antiques are usually the purview of the very rich as they can afford it. The car is most likely owned by the couple or a close friend or family member, because people who restore cars or other vintage items engage in it purely as an expensive hobby, and not usually for gain. Except maybe some business minded chap. These cars don't come cheap at all.

Who told y'all vintage cars are not expensive. I pity una. Go and check brabus website and see for yourself.
