PARABLES OF NIGERIA
An unkempt, weed-smoking “Area Boy” (a.k.a.
social imbeciles of Lagos) cast his tipsy eyes on
a very beautiful, Oxford-trained daughter of a
wealthy man.
“I’ll marry her!” he vowed.
To which the girl responded and cursed, “You
are insane!”
Area Boy hatched a plan and went to his
babalawo master for the most powerful love
medicine called ‘touch and follow.’
Area Boy sneaked up from behind and touched
pretty and polished Oxford daughter. And she
followed him, to the chagrin of her parents and
her ancestors.
But the babalawo had warned Area Boy, “The
spell will not last forever! Take advantage of the
damsel and her parents’ wealth as quickly as
possible!”
They move into the slum and quickly have a baby
together - -Area Baby, of course.
Now, the charm is wearing off and the girl is
coming back to her Oxford senses. The area
baby is asking questions about his birth. And the
Area Boy is desperate!!! By: Ogbo Awoke Ogbo |
