Back to who owns port harcourt. The answer is me. Joking.

On if the orkrika people are ijaws. I am checking out the information already. i would post something.

The Ikwerri or orkirika people both combine do not have 25% of the population of port harcourt. So they can not determine who the governor of the state is. Most people in port harcourt are from other state of Nigeria because it is nigeria oil city.

Port harcourt is a multi ethnics city.

This is where the oil is. And every nigerian want a job from port harcourt, people move there everyday from all over nigeria. Most people in port harcourt are NON NAIVE to port harcourt.  they come from everywhere.

I want you to judge for yourself , who own port harcourt.

The red portion is port harcourt before the civil war. This is based on roof of the houses.

The blue portion are likely Ikwerri homes or villages   based on the name you gave us.The roofs are old.  I do not know if those name are correct. Because some of the name some people are sending to google are not correct. Like calling agbor a different name to gain political ground.  .

The brown is Rumueme , which you claim was sold.

The yellow square is old port harcourt former stadium.

The green line are most likely Orkirika homes, base on the way they are build. close to the waterfront with canoe.

While the black line is port harcourt after the civil war and state creation. Most roof are mostly new.

If you add the ikwerri blue line and orkirika green, you can see they both can not determine who the governor would be based on one man , one vote. most people are non naive.  Port harcourt is like lagos, the naive of lagos are out numbered. same thing for port harcourt.

Port harcourt is a multi ethnics city. anyone could give the name to those area after the civil war.

Note that Yenagoe was where Isaac boro decleared the republic of Niger delta and not Port Harcourt. what was his reason, why he did not decleared Republic of Niger delta at port harcourt, but choose to declear it at Yenagoe.  Let your mind make that decision. Isaac boro did not decleared Niger delta in port harcourt but in Yenagoa.

@Becomerich, tell us the population by tribes and ethnic groups. Can't you determine that from your satellite images?
Re: Igbo Hegemony In PH May Brew Another Tribal War by becomrich15: 9:47pm On Oct 18, 2009
You can not determine port harcourt because it is multi ethnics.  But I can tell you this. There are very few ijaws in River state.

You can see the people you claim to be Okrika and Ikwerri, how small they are compare to the city.

Omoku is the second bigest city in the state and it is more closer to Ikwerri-igbo.

The ijaws I can tell you are very few.

Look here is were they claim is Ijaw. And with your eyes, you can see it is empty. Up is buguma. most is empty.  So you see, there are very few Ijaw in river states.  that why I said more than 90% live in the region region.

Becomerich,

By your logic on Port Harcourt, it means nobody owns Lagos too. Thank God that Lagos is not a Yoruba state. especially with almost 40% Igbo
Re: Igbo Hegemony In PH May Brew Another Tribal War by sjeezy8: 10:23pm On Oct 18, 2009
lol ^^^^ there has been yorubas in lagos and obas of lagos before the british even thought of Nigeria. The obas have been documented/on paper since the portuguese 1600s and yorubas inhabited it before them, so its a yoruba state inhabited with migrants from other parts of Nigeria. sorry to burst your bubble
Re: Igbo Hegemony In PH May Brew Another Tribal War by AloyEmeka6: 10:25pm On Oct 18, 2009
Sjeezy is back. Now the tribalist's tally is balanced. Thank God.

nobody owns anywhere.we only have indigenes of somewhere.the indigenes of lagos are aworis, eguns and other voruba groups while that of ph are ikwerres, okrikas  and other ijoid-igboid groups.as for population, ikwerres are majority.rumuomasi, ogbu nu abali,oroworukwo,rumukalagbo,rumuomoi,rumuodara,rumuokwurusi,eneka,elimgbu,eliozu,eliparanwo,elelenwo,rumurolu,woji-evo,mgbuoba,rumuobrikom,rumuolumeni,rumuewhara,rumuigbo,rumuokoro,rumuibekwe,rumuogba,eliowhani,rumunduru,rukpakwulusi,choba,rumuosi,eligbolo,rumuoparali,ozuoba,nkpolu,rumuadaolu,rumuagholu,rumualogu,rukpokwu, the list goes on and on.these are all densely populated ikwerre villages.combined with etche, ndoni, ogba, egbema, oyigbo, omuma, opobo and other igbos from further up,igbos make up over 80% population of ph.

oboy these Ijaws are whiners, big time complainers
Ikwerre is not igbo
Ikwerre is Ijaw
Ikwerre is Igbo?

Is this the kind of community they want to preserve

Re: Igbo Hegemony In PH May Brew Another Tribal War by freed(m): 11:06pm On Oct 18, 2009

No igbo man in his right senses can have names like Kitchen, blue nose, goodhead, buttocks
Re: Igbo Hegemony In PH May Brew Another Tribal War by AloyEmeka6: 11:07pm On Oct 18, 2009

opobo is no purely igbo but a mixture of three groups of people but there's obviously igbos there.igbos from ngwa, ndoki and isuama are there.

Amachie is not Yoruba, he is ikwerri.
What are you people saying, are you saying MEND no get sense, that MEND want to carry igboland. or what ?
So what you are saying is MEND can not carry igboland only MOSSOP people like you can carry river state.? is that what you are saying.

Well dont worry about Ijaw people. Ijaw are from Ile ife. They would be in Benin republic with us. And you people would be shock , when they make Jonathan Goodluck premier minister or vice president of Benin republic. you people can go with the north. Ijaw people are well covered in Benin republic.

Emeka please keep my name out ur empty head. Why this obsession? I never posted a pic big dunce.

Becomerich, seriously STFU and its a shame for any sane NL member to even dignify your rubbish by asking you questions. Imagine drawing up some crayon shiit to show population of a place and its ethnic composition.
Re: Igbo Hegemony In PH May Brew Another Tribal War by becomrich15: 12:24am On Oct 19, 2009
You can see that by principle of elimination. you have  reduce your niger delta state by removing river state.

On the demolition of the waterfronts in PH, MEND described them as eyesores, adding that if the demolition is done in good faith, it is a welcome development.

Gbomo however suggested that "residents should be relocated into well planned estates before the demolition takes place."
Re: Igbo Hegemony In PH May Brew Another Tribal War by becomrich15: 1:03am On Oct 19, 2009
Well. sorry. The portion of port harcourt call okrika. Is also found in lagos where the ijaw live. Anywhere the ijaw go to, that is the way they build thier houses. Even in lagos .

Amechi's mother is yoruba and that's why his name is Rotimi. If you are conversant, you will notice that he stylishly swapped Rotimi with his second name which is Chibuike after he became governor. Everybody that knows him before he became governor knows his first name is Rotimi and not Chibuike.

He is known in America as Rotimi C. Amaechi . He changed it to Chibuike R. Amaechi because of politics.

Such information is well beyond the realm of ''mapping''. Btw shouldn't you be preoccupied with removing Bayelsa and Delta to Benin Republic? What's your business with Rivers and "Ikweri"?

Its Ikwerre not Ikweri.
