Oduduwa was not the name of the king. You may want to look for Izoduwa elsewhere.

Oduduwa is the name of Yoruba deity of creation. A nickname given to the king for starting a new socio-political phase in Ife. Oduduwa as a name has been in existence since the beginning of early Ife settlement and not a corruption of Izoduwa.

It is a matter of time before you lot start claiming Omononyan was Oranmiyan's actual name that we corrupted when infact it was a nickname because of his violent character but you people have quickly found an equivalent of the name for him in Bini
