Dr. Evaristus Oboh a medical consultant radiation and clinical oncologist from the University of Benin Teaching Hospital has clearly pointed out that Nigeria a country with a population of over 160 million, which has records over 100,000 new cases of cancer yearly clearly requires over 600 units of radiotherapy machines to meet the World Health Organization and International Atomic Energy Agency standards for cancer treatment.
