Many times foreigners refer to Africa as a country. We
Africans have to tell these people that Africa is a continent
and not a country.


About a month ago, a very high ranking official from India
was in Nigeria, Unilag to be precise and he talked about
Africa as if it was a country. Also, sometimes ago, a very
respected figure in the world made the same mistake.
These people need to stop.


Where did civilization start? It was Africa! Africa is where
the world began. Egypt has been relevant since the biblical
times going biblically.

All these nonsense of Africa being underdeveloped is rubbish. Without civilization, Africa was safer. The people lived longer but the colonialism the Europeans brought changed the mentality of the people.


On the contrary, what the Europeans brought has its
advantages. Life is actually easier. This piece of article you
are reading is a benefit of technology. But the fact remains
that Nigeria is a country, Malawi is a country, South Africa
is a country, Tanzania is a country and others. All these are
countries under Africa and therefore, Africa is not a
country.


It would be very rude to all Europeans to refer to Europe as
a country and not as a continent or refer to North/ South
America as a country. Thus, my point is that Africa is not a
country!!!
