Please I want to know why a Mercedes Benz automatic transmission would not respond to gear change when started. I noticed of late that when I start my car and I March the break to change the gear from park to either reverse or drive, the break will always be stiff, hard and when I eventually change the gear to either reverse or drive :it would refuse to move ,and when I press the accelerator it would not raise and until I put the engine off and wait for few minutes and start it it again before it would respond to normal action and move appropriately.
