ABIA State chapter of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has lashed out at Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, accusing him of abandoning governance and spending more time outside the State.

The party lamented that it was “pained by the obvious abandonment of governance by the Okezie Ikpeazu-led government”, insisting that the governor has no direction and that nothing was moving in the State.

Briefing journalists at its secretariat, the State Chairman of the party, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere said, “we regret to state that the present government has taken the disastrous path to failure by completely abandoning its primary responsibilities to the people of the state”.

According to Ehiemere, there has been complete halt in government activities at different parts of the State, “especially in the areas of project execution and payment of workers’ salaries.”

The party said that “this shows that the allocation being given to these Local Government Areas develop wings immediately they are received by the state.

“Unfortunately, this unjust practice has continued unabated while the people at the grassroots suffer untold hardship as a result of underdevelopment, while workers and pensioners are subjected to the worst form of indignation and oppression due to non-payment of salaries”.

According to APGA, Abia State is blessed with numerous sources of internal revenue generation and has therefore no reason to fail in its obligation to the people. The party accused the Okezie administration of allowing “illegal revenue agents to fritter away the state resources”.

According to Ehiemere, “after receiving over N60 billion in its one year in office with annual wage bill of about N28 billion, the few road projects on ground which are the only achievements of the present government cannot in any way justify the aforementioned revenue gotten by the government”.

The party also accused the governor of gallivanting overseas and challenged him “to show the dividends of his numerous tours abroad on the pretence of attracting foreign investment.

“In each of the trips which his government claimed was aimed at bringing investors to Abia, he was accompanied by dozens of aides and associates but unfortunately up till this moment, not even a single investor has been sighted in any part of Abia after millions of tax payers money have been frittered away”, the party claimed.

Abia state is really cursed. From Orji Kalu to T.A. Orji to Ikpeazu, all visionless governors that have left Abia looking like a pig farm. State government workers are crying, no salary for 5 months now. Local govt workers are committing suicide and selling their daughters to baby factories, because no salary for 10 months now. Roads in Aba look like Russia just finished throwing nuclear bomb there. Once you enter Abia state from Port harcourt, your nose is assaulted by all kinds of assorted smells that will make you puke. Abia is cursed. That state is satan's playground.

OVI will end replacing TA Orji as the worst governor in Nigeria with his attitude towards governance.

Ikpeazu was a very hungry man,the last time I met him was at a car wash at park road Aba where he came to wash his old 190 Mercedes, he was getting high with kaikai and Benson, fast forward he is a governor
