cc missmossy, girlhaley, Adesina12, elskillful Chapter 21 Forty eight hours after the terrorist attack at Tokyo airport, Remi and Yomi landed at a private airstrip on the outskirts of Tokyo without incident. As of yet no group had claimed responsibility for the heinous atrocity; which now saw the confirmed death at 560, 100 injured and an unknown number of people missing. They were met at the airstrip by two of Yomi’s American friends. David Chang was around 5’8 with a stocky build who to Remi looked to be Japanese-American and Christopher was 6’2 and lean was an African-American. Remi didn’t even need to ask, these guys were either ex-military or security. This made him wonder who Yomi really was and what had brought him to Nigeria in the first place. They drove in sombre silence to their hotel to drop off their bags and formulate a plan of action, on how they would tackle the hospitals and emergency medical centers that had sprung up around the airport. The scale of the missing was driven home, by the huge scale of the contact centre outside the airport where people had put up posters, pictures and contact details for their missing loved ones. Sam’s picture now joined the board of the missing and the potentially dead victims of the atrocity. Social media was agog with theories and conspiracies regarding the group who could be responsible. But most people did their best from their arm chairs around the world to set up and update a virtual missing persons board. It was decided amongst them, that Yomi and Remi would team up together, while David and Christopher would make up the second team. They each had satellite phones so being out of range would never be an issue. They agreed to touch base in four hours. They decided to start their search on foot and hence they started the gruesome task of searching for Sam. It's funny how you get to grasp the fragility and temporariness of life when you are presented with the close up reality, of the aftermath of destruction and seeing death and sorrow around you at every turn. Bodies and limbs had been removed but the blood was still visible on the ground. The heart rending scenes of listening to parents as they searched for their children, husbands searching for wife’s, wife’s searching for their husbands. Little children crying for their parents seeking and looking for the comfort of their embrace, that was now lost forever. By the end of the first 4 hours on the ground they knew how to say in Japanese. ‘Have you seen this black woman’ 11 Likes 7 Shares |

cc bibijay123 Chapter 22 Sam lay on a sun lounger enjoying the sun rays on her body, as she covered her eyes with her sunglasses. If anyone could define heaven this was it, she thought. She was on an island, just off the mainland. The sand was so clean it could only be described as white. Even though sand couldn’t really be white it looked that way as it shimmered luminously in the sunlight. The air was just right, there was just a slight breeze in the air, helping the leaves of the coconut trees sway gently in the sun. The sky was soo blue she couldn’t tell where the sky ended and the sea began, it was breathtakingly beautiful. The sea was bluish green on the horizon tempting swimmers into it's beauty. On the horizon roughly a five minute leisurely swim away, was the mainland, bustling with people, noise and pollution. The island was an oasis of calm, helping sooth her tired aching muscles. Huge dolphins were swimming in the sea, just yards away from her. They seemed to jump in the air more frequently when they realised that she was watching them. What a lovely sight, she thought to herself. The sun felt soo good on her skin, as she moved to rub more sun screen on herself. Bliss, she thought to herself as she settled deeper into the sun lounger. A pina colada would not go amiss; she chuckled to herself as she realized she was thirsty. She tried to get the attention of the waiters in the distance who were all dressed in white but they ignored her, which was very strange. They could see she was on the beach, it was the only sun lounger around. She was about to get up and look for someone to get her a drink, when Michael appeared with a huge glass of water. ‘Hey you’ she said. ‘What are you doing here’ she said, as she smiled at him. ‘I am just here to give you some water, you are very thirsty at the moment’ he said, a sad smile on his face. ‘I really wanted a pina colada’ she smiled at him. ‘You won’t get that here Sam, just water and if you’re lucky fruit juice’ he said, passing the glass to her. 14 Likes 9 Shares |

Lleigh!!! I don't seem to understand where you are driving us to! Do you mean Sam is dead? Has she finally join Michael? Why Michael appeared to give her water? Why the waiters refused to answer her to give her water to quench her taste? Why all of them dressed in white? So many questions in my mind but I will wait to read next next and next You're talented bae. Next please. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Thank God I'm back to read this... Sam can't be dead, that's impossibru. What is Remi supposed to do? I'll just sit back and believe she has been knocked out somewhere... I hope Remi brought his ring because there'll never be a better time than this to propose... You're truly a good writer, Lleigh... +++++ Lleigh, if you can just do something about the silence at "The Auction", I'll be grateful . 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: The Club a story - #nlwriters by Nobody: 6:06am On Nov 23, 2016 |
Sam is in hospital, in a coma maybe. She probably having a near-death-experience hence Michael's appearance. The devil in me wants her dead, just so Tomi and Bayo would regret ever toying with someone's feelings. Not that I understand Remi's sudden "the girl I want to marry" comes from. Re: The Club a story - #nlwriters by Nobody: 11:59am On Nov 23, 2016 |
Lleigh:Jamb question ooo Okay, let me see. I haven't decided yet actually. I hate Bayo, Tomi and Sam for toying with Remi. I don't want Remi to marry Sam but the club "meetings" are okay. I think Bayo is either secretly crushing on Remi and Tomi is a twin plug. I'm think also that Bayo is already sharing sweets with Tomi. I just want Sam back, then they openly do whatever. Everyone back to their normal routine. BORING ENDING |
