You might just be wrong you know ..Though Jeep is a brand , most four wheel drive vehicles where called jeeps before the jeep brand was trade marked and born ..Jeep was initially a US military slang For GP which meant General purpose vehicles and US soldiers started to call the jeeps for short ..
