Are you driving on the road with 4lo selected on your 4wd if so put your transmission in neutral and shift the auxiliary gear to 4hi or whatever the normal driving mode is if you are in 4 lo you will destroy your 4wd , 4lo is for when driving on slippery surface only like beach sand and mud your front and rear differential is locked for wheels to turn at same speed



Looks like your truck uses a toggle switch.
Trans to neutral drive mode to hi and that is all you may need to do

With normal surface drive on 4 high with slippery or muddy road drive with 4low.as sultan as said you risk spoiling your 4wd. If you put back to 4 high and still doesn't select well then there is a problem. Could snap your instrument cluster with the engine of the car running

ive not come across a lexus lx460 before, but ive seen an lx470 and lx570.
That said, all lx are permanent 4wd trucks in which the driver could switch to 4hi or 4lo modes via a fly by wire switch.
If your lx is a 570, do check the flip switch on the centre console arond the driving aids area.

Like all have said 4lo should never be engaged unless u are stuck on mub or sand. Probably, it was engaged accidentally. Normal driving for these cars is 4Hi while N is for towing. Never tow the car in either Hi or Lo as its a full time 4WD.

Follow the picture I uploaded, if it doesn't work, take it to a techie and let them check under the truck for the components in the picture I just uploaded. Also, the truck use a Diff fluid, it should be checked too. Where's your location?
