The Senate on Thursday said one of the reasons it reject President Muhammadu Buhari’s $29.9bn loan proposal was because of the incompetence the presidential aides. Senate spokesperson, Aliyu Abdullahi, said this when he featured on a Channels TV breakfast programme, Sunrise, on Thursday. Abdullahi said the aides were not doing their properly. He cited an example of where in the letter to the Senate, a line read “attached”, but lamented “nothing is attached”. “This is the reality unfortunately. We have to rethink position given to certain persons and people who are not competent should step aside. “What is the Chief of Staff doing? What is the SGF doing? “We have said it that some people are working to set the president against the legislature,” said Abdullahi.
