our dearly beloved vice president should know that "every state is a religious state and no state is truly neutral". even though the state always try to place itself above religion by alienating itself more and more from it, the fact still remains that the state exist as a result of the conflict that exist among different religions which has become irreconcilable. The state is by no means a power forced on society from without.
The state is made up of people with religious affiliation, who will always seek to advance their views above your own because the survival of religion lies in intolerance and fanatism, in which it is fanatically convince of it's perfect right to exist and intolerably imposes it's will above that of all others.
Vice President sir, Nigeria has never been divided as it is today, due to fear of Hegemonic oppression. the 1999 constitution has already given enough freedom to all religion, why do some press for more? Nigeria should be careful because no human desire can be truly satisfied. The more we continue to tread this road, the more we creat problems for ourselves. our leaders should learn to do things right as well as doing the right thing.
